Changes must be approved by this Department and the engineer prior to construction. MAIN HOUSE One of the 1500 gallon tanks from ISDS Permit 96019 was found to be leaking as a result of an OWTS Use Permit inspection. Both existing tanks will be removed and replaced with a 1000 gallon, single compartment tank followed by a 1000 gallon two- compartment tank. The engineer has specified Infiltrator poly tanks. An effluent filter must be installed on the outlet of the second tank in series and will distribute effluent to the existing absorption area. CDU The system serving the CDU on the property was approved under ISDS Permit 97024. This system was sized to accommodate 2 bedrooms. An OWTS Use Permit inspection was conducted by All Service Septic on August 20, 2011 and the system was found to be working properly. This department recommends adding an effluent filter to the outlet of the 1250 gallon tank that serves the CDU. This Permit must be kept on-site during installation. The engineer must do a final inspection of the installation and submit an "as -built" letter to this Department within 30 days of the final inspection, unless a longer period of time has been agreed upon, in writing. This Department must also be called for the final inspection with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Minimum horizontal distances between components of the system and physical features shall conform to the requirements of the Pitkin County OWTS Regulation. This Permit is conditioned upon the property owner(s) providing for regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the system by qualified personnel, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the requirements of the Pitkin County OWTS Regulation.
