On March 24, 1988, this department conducted an inspection
of the referenced property, owned by Dr. F. D. Law, for the
purpose of evaluating the on-site wastewater disposal and water
supply systems serving the existing dwelling. The inspection was
requested by Bob McCormick. This letter is our opinion of the
suitability and compliance of the systems with local and State
public health codes and accepted sanitary practices.
A review of our office records indicates that there is no
system specifications or permit on file. Apparently, the sewage
disposal system was constructed prior to permit and inspection
requirements. However, a visual inspection of the premises
indicates that the existing sewage system is apparently function-
ing satisfactorily at this time. As a part of this inspection,
we have recommended that the septic tank be pumped after the
snow cover melts. This maintenance, required every two years by
County regulation, is routine. We wish to emphasize that this
letter is not to be interpreted as implying any warranty
regarding this sewage disposal system.
Water to this residence is supplied from the Redstone Water
and Sanitation District. Monthly water samples are collected
and analyzed for microbiological contaminant levels. The
results consistently indicate that the water supply meets
standards for maximum contaminant levels of coliform bacteria
established as acceptable by the Colorado Department of Health in
the Primary_Drinking Water Regulations.
