The subject OWTS consists of a 1000 -gallon two-compartment septic tank followed by a 1000 -gallon single -compartment septic tank with a pump. Effluent is pumped to a gravelless chamber bed with 5 rows of 6 Standard Infiltrator units (465 square feet). The as -built drawing was provided by Pitkin County Environmental Health Department. (Parcel ID # 2729-292-01-092) The septic tanks appeared to be in good condition with all tees in place. The pump was operational and the alarm was audible. The alarm alert is located in the lower level of the house. The absorption area showed no signs of saturation and had no indication of failure. Observation ports were present. This evaluation is not a guarantee of future system performance. This inspection is good for one year. This report should be submitted to the Pitkin County Environmental Health Department. A level manifold will distribute to 5 rows of 6 graveliess chamber units. There will be a total of 30 units in a bed configuration. The engineer has specified a maximum cover of 36" for the field. This department does not endorse any brand of products. This permit must be kept onsite during installation. The engineer must do a final inspection of the installation and submit an as -built letter to this department. This department must also be called for an inspection with a minimum of 48 hours advanced notice.
