Roark Dept. of Environmental Health Box 1025 Aspen, CO 81611 Dear Mr. Roark: Snowmass Water & Sanitation District will accept a septic system for the Dog Sled Kennel area at Snowmass Resort, West Village, Colorado, and, at the same area, will allow a water tap to be made in our raw water line, covered by an agreement from Snowmass American Corporation. BOX 1025 ASPEN, COLORADO 81611 IEJTO To: Nal Clark, County Building Inspector From: Jim Roark, County Sanitarian Date: September 10, 1974 Subject: Proposed dog sled kennel to be developed in the vicinity of Snowmass Resort, West Village This office is in receiTit of a letter from the Snowmass dater and Sanitation District which would allow a septic system installation within their district to serve the kennel facility., and would also allow a .rater tan to be made in their raw water line. Since the application has been applied for and the percolation tests run, this office would be in a position to issue a permit for the satiie. The specifications for the system should be submitted to this office by Dan ''acEachen based on the facilities the system is to serve. KRAB OONIK 6Y9lululA:t"7 KENNEL TOUR. A guided, educational tour of the working kennel. Special attention will be given to the inquisitive and those who like to pet furry heads. If you would like a private tour or have a big group, give us a call, 923-3953. If you know ahead of your vacation and know how many are in your gang, call or write to Krabloonik, P.O. Box 5517, West Village, Colorado 81611. We need a 48 hour notice to arrange private tours. SEASON. Tours of the kennel will be from mid June (when the kennels dry up from the long winter) to Labor Day. After that, special tours can be arranged. TIME. The kennels are closed on Saturday. The guide will meet you at the gate at 11:00a.m., 1:30p.m., and 4:00p.m. The tour runs approximately one hour depending on how many questions are asked. We like to answer your questions rather than tell you something you don't want to know. COST. Children 12 and under are $1.00 and f, ose of us who are over, the cost is $1.50. Krabloonik kennels are loca,e'd in the beautiful 6 MILES TO TURN OFF Old Snowmass Valley one mile west of Snowmass Village. Follow the Divide Road to Divide Parking Lot, continue a quarter of a mile to a gate on the right (with Krabloonik sign) where you AS EN TO GLENWOOD SPRINGS will be met by a guide. Parking is available in that area. HIGHWAY 82 IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EVERYONE STAY WITH THE GUIDE This is necessary because it is our desire to give the best and most informative tour. The guide cannot make himself heard if you are wandering around the kennels. Also, our husky family has a boisterous form of love which will literally knock you over.
