COLORADO 81611 December 19, 1977 Enclosed please find a copy of the temporary repair permit and an agreement recognizing that this repair does not conform to the Pitkin County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations and will be redone as necessary when weather permits. The subsurface soil conditions in the vicinity appear quite suitable for an individual sewage disposal system and the minimal absorption trenches should handle the winter use with care in hydropic loading. However, the.septic tanks are small and quite corroded. These tanks should be replaced as soon as possible next spring and the absorption areas expanded. County Sanitarian r A G R E E M E N T As a condition of the issuance of a temporary repair permit it is agreed that the minimum absorption area specified in Section 5.04 C of the Pitkin County Individual Sewage Disposal Regulations will be provided by July 1, 1978, for the two sewage disposal systems on Lot #13, Section 3, Township 10 South, Range 85 West of the 6th P.M. containing 1.956 acres and recorded in Book 262, Pages 118 and 119 of the Pitkin County Records. Completion of the repair has been delayed and made more costly by winter weather and to resolve the problem and alleviate a potential health hazard, single absorption trenches of 100 and 150 feet were constructed. Further, it is understood that both metal septic tanks are showing signs of severe corrosion and deterioration and it is agreed that these will be replaced at the time the absorption area is brought into compliance with Pitkin County Regulations.
