been found. The Geneva Series
fireplace family, available in two sizes
as well as radiant or heat circulating,
has taken the beauty of a traditional
woodburning fireplace and added the
convenience and operation simplicity
of gas logs.
The radiant version provides another
huge advantage over most gas fire-
places. Noncombustible finishing
material may be applied to the black
face of the fireplace all the way to the
opening edges. An example of this is
shown on the front page of this
brochure. This finishing options pro-
vides a beautiful fireplace appear-
ance.
The Geneva 36" Series will fit a rough
framed opening that is 43" wide, 24"
deep and 393/" high as shown in
Figure 1.
The Geneva 42" Series will fit a rough
framed opening that is 49" wide, 24"
deep and 393/" high.

tance from stud to stud orly and do

• Clean face design allows you to bring finishing materials right up to
the glass.
• Entire burner and ignition controls are one platform piece that easily
lifts out to provide easy adjustments, service and future upgrades.
Uses 6" B -vent chimney system for economical installation.
• 36,000 Btu/hr. input for 36" units and 38,000 Btu/hr. input for 42" units
delivers an industry leading flame appearance.
• Heatilator Flame Technology (HFTTM) provides for tall, dancing, yellow
flames. The ember bed and five ceramic fiber logs glow to complete
the look of authentic burning hardwood.
• Electronic ignition or standing pilot offers the choice of two
proven starting systems.
Prewired junction box and flexible stainless steel gas connector with
safety shutoff valve simplify installation.

Customizing your fireplace couldn't
be any easier than with the NOVUS.
A choice of three optional upgrade
features — split logs, simulated brick
refractory and fan for heat circulating
models may be installed on the fire-
place before it is shipped. For you,
this means less hassle and less
expense.
Radiant versions of the NOVUS up -
vent family allow you to bring finishing
material all the way down to the open-
ing of the firebox without the concern
of allowing access into the panel.
A beautiful flame created by
Heatilator Flame Technology (HFTTM)
will warm up any room. Beautiful yel-
low flames dance among the realistic
ceramic fiber logs and create the
appearance of burning embers along
the base of the front log.
This version of NOVUS uses eco-
nomical 5" B -vent for installation.
This type of venting is easy to use
and provides a great opportunity to
keep construction costs down.
The NOVUS up -vent gas fireplace,

This fireplace requires a simple, 5"
B -vent for operation. This vent must
be terminated above the roof line.
Check local building codes for vent-
ing requirements in your area. For
proper operation, the venting termi-
nation must be a minimum of 9'
above the top of the appliance.
Horizontal offsets are possible, but
they must be no greater than 50%
of the vent height above the unit.
You should always try to minimize
horizontal distances to avoid overly
restrictive venting.
We recommend that a vertical rise
of 2' be established prior to
installing a 900 elbow on top of the
unit. The installation instructions
have complete guidelines for instal-
lation.
