The proposed Special Event dates 03-27-20 to 03-29-20 for The North Face Grand Traverse Ski (2018-2020) Spring has been cancelled. In response COVID-19: Any Special Events proposed in March 2020 are cancelled. The current COVID-19 modeling supports a peak of COVID- 19 cases in Colorado in March and April 2020. The recommendation from the Incident Management Team (IMT) and the Public Health Director is that any special event proposed in May 2020 that congregates people should be cancelled, and that the IMT will continue to revisit the ever- changing COVID-19 situation moving forward. An Applicant may be able to reschedule the Special Event. In order to reschedule a Special Event the Applicant should submit an online Special Event Application 90 days prior to the proposed special event date(s). Again, as specified before, although an online Special Events Application may be filled out the event could still be cancelled if the public order extends. Please know we are still accepting online Special Events Applications, but will follow up with more information sometime in May 2020 or sooner with a Special Events update. Although an online Special Events Application may be filled out the event could still be cancelled if the April 30, 2020 Public Health Order extends. Here are the guidelines we are currently being given towards Special Events, including weddings: All proposed special events between 4/7/20 and 5/30/20 are cancelled. This is the current direction and recommendation from the Incident Management Team (IMT) and the Public Health Director. Applicants will be notified if their event could be cancelled if the public order is extended beyond 4/30/20. For special events after 6/1/20, over 5 ppl, the events should be kept on schedule, but the Applicant/Organizer should be notified that due to the current situation their event also may be cancelled if the public order extends into the summer and the restrictions on event size are maintained. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Thank you and please stay safe and healthy!
