COLORADO REPEALING RESOLUTION NO'S 173-
2004,064-2006,AND 035-2012 (GOVERNANCE
POLICIES 2.1 thru 72.16)
RESOLUTION NO. 0to , 2018
RECITALS:
I. Pursuant to Section 2.8.3 (Actions)of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
("HRC")official action by formal resolution shall he required for all actions of the
Board not requiring ordinance power on matters of significant importance affecting
citizens
2. Pursuant to Resolution 173 2004, the BOCC approved the first writing of the
Governance Policies ("Policies"). Resolutions No. 064-2.006 added Campaign
Activities and Resolution No 035-2012 added TV and Resolution No 064.2013
rescinded those same policies.
3. The BOCC has determined that there am duplications of the Policies in the Pitkin
County Code ("Code ') the Home Rule Charter ("HRC") the Pitkin County Policies
and Procedures Manual or otherwise provided by law. The BOCC further
determines that some of the language in the Policies is outdated.
4. The BOCC has determined that Resolution No's 173-2004, 064-2006, and 035-2012
(Governance Policies 2.1 thru 2.16) should be repealed. Additionally that Policy
2.10 should be added to the Pitkin County Code as per Ordinance No. U/W._--2o(
2018.
5. The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.
NOW,THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County,Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution Repealing Resolutions No.'s
173-2004, 064-2006, and 035 2012 (Governance Policies 2.01-2.16) and authorizes the
Chair to sign the Resolution and upon the satisfaction of the County Attorney as to form,
execute any other associated documents necessary to complete this matter
