COLORADO DECLARING THE MOUNTAIN VALLEY
GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (49099)
DISSOLVED
RESOLUTION NO. 133 ,2018
RECITALS:
1 Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
("ARC"),all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal
resolution may be acted upon by informal resolution with a public hearing.
2. The Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, by Resolution
o o No. 70-1975 created the Mountain Valley General Improvement District No. 49099;

- 0 3. The BOCC imposed an assessment upon property located within the Mountain

e Valley General Improvement District beginning in 1975 and such debt was paid off

4. Pursuant to Section 30-20-627, C.R.S., at such time the local improvements
m U specified by the BOCC have been completed and any debt incurred or bonds issued ein
ii rc o have been paid, the BOCC shall take the necessary steps to dissolve the Local
o o N Improvement District and shall declare the Local Improvement District dissolved by
W g resolution; and

—rc o a 5. The BOCC has determined the following:
• The local improvements specified in Resolution No. 70-1975 have been
completed; and
• The Local Improvement District has no outstanding financial obligations and
any debt incurred or bonds issued have been paid in full; and
6. The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.
NOW THEREFORE., BE. IT RESOLVED BY THE Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County,Colorado that in accordance with Section 30-20-627 C.R.S. the Mountain
Valley General Improvement District is hereby declared dissolved. This action has no
effect on the existence, legal status, or continued right of public access over or through any
road, easement, or other property interest located within the Mountain Valley Improvement
District or obtained when the Mountain Valley Improvement District was created.
