1 was in the building business for 40 years Aspen and Pltkin County What Em seeing are changes being considered to
your energy and land use codes that are totally ridiculous and will have dire consequences on the building trades in our
valley. I don't understand what makes all of you think you can dictate your opinions on the masses. This has been going
on for years and getting worse with each change in leadership.
I own a building and land at the AABC and would like to think that I could someday remodel and make improvements to
my building without being cut off at the knees.
Please look at the economic impact that the most of these changes will have on the majority of the people involved in our
thriving construction industry and not that good looking feather in your caps.

I wanted to voice our opinions of some of the upcoming building regulations,energy and land use codes being
considered. Based on my interpretation,these will impact our Colorado-based business as well as many others we work
with in the County We provide architectural millwork to many of the homes. I don't need to mention all of the policy
proposals you are considering, but they seem extreme They appear to be large enough to deter many people from
entering the county to build. I can only imagine how large the impact will be on local designers,architects and
constructors Please proceed with caution.
