The Provision of Waste and Recycling Services (the “Contract”) dated April 1, 2014 between
the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado (the “County”) and Waste
Management (the “Contractor”), is hereby amended as follows:
Description of Change:
Extension of regular services through August 31, 2019.
Extension of recycling collection service twice per month from the Redstone location through
June 30, 2019.
Reason for Change:
Maintain trash removal and recycling services through June 30, 2019 and August 31, 2019 in
respective locations. Estimated cost to maintain service through August 31, 2019 calculated as
$135,000. 00.

Waste Management 6-Month Contract Extension
Pitkin County is requesting a six (6) month contract extension (through August 31,
2019) from Waste Management to continue single stream recycling collection
services at the Rio Grande Recycling Center in Aspen, Colorado, and recycling
transfer out of the Pitkin County Solid Waste Center. Pitkin County also is
requesting a four (4) month contract extension to collect recycling (through June
2019) from the Redstone twice a month drop-off.
This is a contract extension to existing Waste Management’s contract 108.2014
with Pitkin County.
