HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.022.2003 RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
ESTABLISHING POLLING PLACES
RESOLUTION NO. ~J~ -2003
RECITALS
1. Pitkin County had previously established 10 precincts throughout the county.
2. Polling places must be established 90 days prior to the Coordinated Election in November.
3. We are changing the polling place for Precinct 9 from the Basalt High School to the Basalt
Middle School. We have experienced several problems with the Basalt High School (i.e. parking
and the room we were using is know used to store old computer equipment.) This new location
meets the following criteria: it is handicap accessible, presents an environment suitable for a 14-
hour day for the precinct judges, allows for adequate parking for voters, has the same
accessibility as the previously used location for the majority of residents and has modem
capabilities.
4. All other polling places will remain the same.
5. Notification by postc~ard prior to the coordinated election will be sent to each active voter
regarding the new polling place.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County,
Colorado, that the following polling places be established for the Coordinated Election of November
