A work-session agenda is structured to give the Board of Commissioners an opportunity to touch base with each other,staff,and
invited community members and organizations to discuss and work through issues the County is facing,but not ready to take official
action on at a regular board meeting. Work sessions are open to the public(with exception of executive session). However,public
input is typically not taken during a work session unless specifically asked for by the Board.

CALL TO ORDER: Chair Steve Child called the regular meeting of the Board of County
Commissioners to order at 11:00 a.m.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Greg Poschman, George Newman,
Kelly McNicholas Kury, Steve Child and Patti Clapper
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: None

Individual Consideration Items
Emergency Resolution No. 001-2021 with Confirmatory Reading on January 27, 2021:
Black Hills Energy Gas Outage Emergency Declaration
Motion: Commissioner Clapper moved approval of the Resolution as written set for
Confirmatory Reading on January 27, 2121. Commissioner Poschman seconded the motion.
Motion passed with five yea votes.

ADJOURN SPECIAL WORK SESSION
Action: Commissioner Poschman moved to adjourn the Special Work Session of the Board of
County Commissioners at 11:47 a.m. Commissioner Clapper seconded the motion. Motion
passed with five yea votes.
