PITKIN COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
SPECIAL MEETING
ABATEMENT PETITIONS
JUNE 3, 2003
CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Hatfield called a special meeting of the Board of
County Commissioners to order at 1:30 PM
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Jack Hatfieid, Dorothea
Farris and Shellie Roy
RESOLUTION REGARDING AN ABATEMENT PETITION FOR D. STONE
DAVIS - MOTION TO DENY - STAFF PERSON: LARRY FITE
After a discussion with the petitioner and Larry Fite, representing the
Assessors' office, Commissioner Hatfield moved to amend the assessed
valuation to 1.2 million dollars and allow a partial abatement of property
taxes. Motion passed with three yea votes. Commissioner Clapper and
Ireland absent.
RESOLUTION REGARDING AN ABATEMENT PETITION FOR SNOWFLAKE
OF BASALT, LLC - MOTION TO APPROVE UPON STIPULATION
AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO BETWEEN PETITIONER AND ASSESSOR -
STAFF PERSON: LARRY FITE
Commissioner Farris moved to approve the abatement petition for
Snowflake of Basalt, LLC as agreed upon by the assessor and the
petitioner. Commissioner Roy seconded the motion. Motion passed with
three yea votes. Commissioners Ireland and Clapper absent.
ADJOURNMENT:
Commissioner Farris moved to adjourn the special meeting at 2:30 PM.

votes. Commissioner Ireland and Clapper absent.
