Main St., Suite#302 118 West 6th Street, Suite 200 Aspen, CO 81611 Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 The Provision of Redstone to Mclure Pass Engineering (the "Contract") dated August 1, 2019 between the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado (the "County") and SGM. (the "Contractor"), is hereby amended as follows: Description of Change: Additional Scope: A. Project Description Complete final design of the Redstone to McClure Pass segment of the Carbondale to Crested Butte Trail. B. Work Plan Proposed scope of work: • Task 1 —Final Design o This consists of final design of approximately 6.7 miles of the proposed singletrack trail. In general, the final design is a continuation of the preliminary design effort and includes further refinement of the layout, development of details, preparation of final plans, quantities and specifications. The final design milestone will include F.O.R. plans (approximately 95%-level), special provisions and estimate. *Increases over$25,000 and/or 10%(single increase or accumulative)of original contract must have County Manager signature. 1 Contract#: 051.17 Rev. 2018.06.13 btf Budget Line Item#: 11836361.531000.10043 o The anticipated final design also includes a grade separated underpass where the Old McClure Pass Road crosses the current SH-133 alignment. Additional topographic and existing conditions survey will be required for this design element. It is assumed that the underpass structure will be a simple concrete box culvert(either cast-in-place or precast)per the CDOT M-standard plans. o Plans will be developed for the trail segments within or adjacent to the SH- 133 Right of Way to CDOT standards (alignment, profile and grading). For trail segments on Pitkin County and USFS property, the plans will generally consist of just a proposed alignment for the trail (no profile or grading). • Task 2—Bid Documents o This consists of preparing bid documents after the final design has been reviewed and accepted by the county and other participating review agencies. Bid plans and project special provisions will be submitted to the county for incorporation into the overall bid package. This task also includes design supporting during bidding for tasks such as attending a pre-bid meeting and responding to RFIs. C. Exclusions and Limitations • Review meetings, except for the Final Office Review(F.O.R.)meeting are not included • Additional field site visits with CDOT and USFS are not included • Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) • Geotechnical investigation for the proposed pedestrian underpass—CDOT may require this • Trail bridge design for the revised upper segment—it is assumed Pitkin County OST personnel can construct trail bridges based on USFS standard plans Reason for Change: Final engineering services and extension.
