Grant Award Fall 2018 Applicant: Colorado Rocky Mountain School Project: CRMS Confluence Riparian Zone Restoration/Stock Water Project Amount: $ 16,250.00 Date: October 22,2018 This Grant Agreement,is made this 1st day of May,2017 by and between the Colorado Rocky Mountain School (CRMS)500 Holden Way,Carbondale,CO 81623 and Pitkin County Healthy Rivers ("Pitkin County") 530 E.Main St.Ste 301 Aspen,CO 81611. The purpose of the Grant Agreement is to provide a process for payment of public funds to be used exclusively for costs incurred by CRMS in connection with the Confluence Riparian Zone Restoration/Stock Water Project. Through this Agreement,CRMS and Pitkin County have agreed that: CRMS shall: Redrill a dry well that has run dry on the North Pasture at CRMS to establish winter stock water for the cattle, as well as inserting plumbing for two recycled rubber tire watering stations with float switches to provide the cattle with a specific place to get their water. Use current DC solar powered pump to support the new well and install backup electricity in case of a failure of the solar pump during winter months. Fence area to keep animals from the water in the rivers, and provide revegetation to the riparian zone, as well as debris cleanup from the rivers and banks. Once project is complete, ensure that there is frequent monitoring of the new system to keep it running and to provide student learning opportunities for the future. Report back to the Healthy Rivers Board on the on-going status of the project Pitkin County shall: Grant$16,250.00 to CRMS as approved for funding by the Healthy Rivers Board on September 20,2018 and by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County on October 16,2018. United States to perform work under this contract, through participation in the E-Verify Program or the Department program established pursuant to CRS §8-17.5-102(5)(c), Contractor shall not knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien to perform work under this contract or enter into a contract with a subcontractor that fails to certify to Contractor that the subcontractor shall not knowingly employ or contract with an illegal alien to perform work under this contract. Contractor (a) shall not use E-Verify Program or Department program procedures to undertake pre-employment screening of job applicants while this contract is being performed, (b) shall notify the subcontractor and the contracting State agency within three days if Contractor has actual knowledge that a subcontractor is employing or contracting with an illegal alien for work under this contract,(c)shall terminate the subcontract if a subcontractor does not stop employing or contracting with the illegal alien within three days of receiving the notice,and(d)shall comply with reasonable requests made in the course of an investigation, undertaken pursuant to CRS §8-17.5-102(5), by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment.If Contractor participates in the Department program, Contractor shall deliver to the contracting State agency, Institution of Higher Education or political subdivision a written,notarized affirmation,affirming that Contractor has examined the legal work status of such employee, and shall comply with all of the other requirements of the Department program.If Contractor fails to comply with any requirement of this provision or CRS§8-17.5-101 et seq.,the contracting State agency,institution of higher education or political subdivision may terminate this contract for breach and, if so terminated,Contractor shall be liable for damages. PUBLIC CONTRACTS WITH NATURAL PERSONS. CRS §24-76.5-101. Contractor, if a natural person eighteen (18) years of age or older, hereby swears and affirms under penalty of perjury that he or she (a) is a citizen or otherwise lawfully present in the United States pursuant to federal law,(b)shall comply with the provisions of CRS§24-76.5-101 et seq.,and (c) has produced one form of identification required by CRS §24-76.5-103 prior to the effective date of this contract.
