PROJECT NAME: ASPEN VILLAGE PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE ALTERNATIVES

The On-Call Engineering Services (the"Agreement")dated January 1,2020 between the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County (the "County") and SGM Inc. 118 West 6th St., Suite 200 Glenwood
Springs, CO 81601 (the "Contractor"), shall include the following services.
1. Contractor's Obligations. Contractor shall
A. Project Description
This project consists of a Structure Type and Alignment Selection Report for a proposed
pedestrian bridge over the Roaring Fork River. The bridge would be located near the
pedestrian crossing under State Route 82 adjacent to Gerbaz Way. The bridge would span
from the area north of Gerbaz Way over the Roaring Fork River to the Rio Grande Trail.
This work would consist of the following tasks:
• Site visit with bridge design, trail design, and construction staff to evaluate potential bridge
locations and trail alignments. Construction staff will include a local crane operator to determine
the feasibility of picking a prefabricated structure along the different alignments.
• Perform a conceptual-level alternatives analysis of the three potential alignments and select a
chosen alternative based on cost, constructability, required span length, and integration with
existing trails.
• From the chosen alignment,perform a conceptual-level alternatives analysis of three different
structure types to best meet the chosen alignment. A chosen alternative will be selected based on
cost, constructability, and aesthetics.

• A conceptual level cost estimate will be provided for each alignment evaluated(based on an
average bridge cost) and for each structure type.
• A Structure Type and Alignment Selection Report will be provided describing the above tasks.
The end goal for this task will be to develop enough alignment, bridge type, and cost information to
allow the County to decide which options to carry forward to final design. The deliverable to accomplish
this will be the Structure Type and Alignment Selection Report.
B. Exclusions and Limitations
• Subsurface Utility Engineering(SUE) investigation is not included.
• Geotechnical investigation and pavement design are not included.
• Landscape Architecture and landscaping plans are not included.
• Design services are not included.
• Public information and public outreach are not included.
• ROW plans and coordination are not included.
The anticipated scope and fee for this work is $17,500.
2. Compensation and Expenses, Invoicing, Payment and Offset. The County shall compensate
Contractor for its services in accordance with the Project Budget and Schedule set out in Paragraph 1
of this Task Order. It is expressly understood and agreed that in no event will the total compensation
and reimbursement to be paid hereunder exceed the sum of seventeen thousand five hundred dollars
and zero cents ($17,500) for all services rendered. By Task Order or Task Order Amendment, the
County and Contractor may reallocate the budget among project tasks if the total budget amount
remains unchanged. Contractor shall invoice for the project monthly based on hours worked, with
payment expected within thirty(30) days of invoice,but any payment by the County may be offset by
any amount the Contractor owes the County for any reason.
Any invoices not sent in the following manner may have payment delayed. All invoices for this Task
Order shall reference Task Order 002.20 C-2 and Aspen Village Pedestrian Bridge Alternatives. Invoices
shall be sent electronically in PDF format to kim.arensdorf@pitkincounty.com.
3. Pitkin County's Obligations. Pitkin County shall administer this contract through a County
Representative. County Representative, Lindsey Utter, Planning and Outreach Manager will manage
the project as the County's Representative. The services provided and products delivered by the
Contractor under this contract will be subject to review by the County's Representatives,or a designee,
for compliance with Contractor's obligations prior to final payment.
4. Formation of Task Order. This Task Order is issued in accordance with the provisions of the
Agreement. Contractor agrees to provide services subject to the terms of this Task Order and for the
avoidance of doubt this Task Order consists of the terms set out in the Agreement. In all other respects
the Agreement is in full force and effect and remains unchanged by this Task Order.

To request paper or electronic copies from Pitkin County
To request delivery from us of paper or electronic copies of the notices and disclosures
previously provided by us to you electronically, you should request those documents from Pitkin
County under the Colorado Open Records Act by contacting the Pitkin County custodian who
sent you the document for signature.
To withdraw your consent with Pitkin County
To inform us that you no longer want to receive future notices and disclosures in electronic
format you may:
i. decline to sign a document from within your DocuSign account, and on the subsequent
page, select the check-box indicating you wish to withdraw your consent, or you may;
