HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.067.2022RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (“BOCC”) OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, APPOINTING CITIZEN BOARD MEMBERS
RESOLUTION NO. 067-2022 RECITALS
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter (“HRC”), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal resolution may be acted upon by informal resolution, and;
WHEREAS, The BOCC completed interviews for the Airport Advisory Board and Pitkin County
Library Board, and;
WHEREAS, Audrey Ellis will be appointed as an alternate. The current alternate, Elizabeth Stewart -Severy, will complete the regular term left vacant by the resignation of Judy Wrigley, and;
WHEREAS, The BOCC chose Barry Vaughn to complete the term left vacant by Rich Burkley’s resignation on the Airport Advisory Board, and;
WHEREAS, The BOCC elected to extend Michael Solondz’s term as an alternate to the Airport
Advisory Board to April 1, 2024, and;
WHEREAS, The BOCC discussed these appointments at the September 13th Work Session and made the following appointments, and;
APPLICANTS & BOARD TERM EXPIRES Barry Vaughn - Airport Advisory Board (alternate) April 1, 2023 Michael Solondz – Airport Advisory Board (alternate) – (Extension of term) April 1, 2024 Elizabeth Stewart-Severy - Pitkin County Library (regular) April 1, 2023
Audrey Ellis - Pitkin County Library (alternate) April 1, 2026
WHEREAS, The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to approve this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution to appoint Citizen Board members and authorizes the Chair to sign the Resolution and execute any other associated documents necessary to complete this matter.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED ON THE 14th DAY OF SEPTEMBER 2022.
