Brian Smalkoski, P.E. 16 Kearns Road, Suite 212 Snowmass Village, CO 81615 The Provision of Facility Electrification Capital Improvement Plan (the “Contract”) dated August 16, 2022 between the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado (the “County”) and Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. Brian Smalkoski, P.E. (the “Contractor”), is hereby amended as follows: Description of Change: 1. The Scope of Work described in the previous Amendment (Amendment A) to the Contract (“002.20 A”) is voided, and replaced with the following; the $4,200.00 associated with that task will be allocated to this task order, reducing the provided quote by the amount of this allocation: “TASK 1 – ADDITIONAL ELECTRIFICATION ANALYSES The County has requested that Kimley-Horn provide additional services for this project related to the Library and Health & Human Services (HHS) Buildings. Both sites have buildings that are high on the priority list for deferred maintenance and energy related improvements. Related to this, the County has requested to Kimley-Horn do additional analysis of these buildings to provide a comparison of three different approaches to reducing carbon emissions: full electrification, full gas-fired equipment replacement, and a hybrid gas and electric system. Kimley-Horn will also attempt to quantify the impact of decommissioning the snowmelt system at the Library. This amendment will require an extension of the original contract end date. Kimley-Horn will provide deliverables in electronic PDF format. It is anticipated that each memorandum will not exceed three (3) 8.5” x 11” pages, not including appendices. It is proposed that the new contract end date be extended to September 25, 2023. ADDITIONAL SERVICES Any services not specifically provided for in the above scope, as well as any changes in the scope requested by the County, will be considered additional services and will be performed at our then current hourly rates, or as we agree prior to their performance. FEES AND BILLING Kimley-Horn will perform the services in Task 1 as described for the indicated below. Task Lump Sum Fee Task 1 – Additional Electrification Analyses $5,000.00 The total fee for the proposed scope is shown under the “This Change Order/Amendment Amount”. The breakdown above is for the County’s reference”; and 2. Additional funding in the amount of $5,000.00 is allocated to the Contract. Reason for Change: The County has requested that Kimley-Horn provide additional services to analyze the feasibility, cost, and schedule impacts of additional electrification options at the Library and HHS. This service goes beyond the scope of services agreed upon in the original contract.
