LEARNING ACCESS AND QUALITY FOR COLORADO CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (CCCAP).
RESOLUTION NO. 006, 2024
RECITALS
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.8.3 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter (“HRC”) official action by formal resolution shall be required for all actions of the Board
not requiring ordinance power on matters of significant importance affecting citizens, and;
WHEREAS, Desire to enter into contract with The Office of Early Childhood, Division of Early Learning Access and Quality to enter into an annual contract that includes but is not
limited to, requirements and provisions that address duties and responsibilities to work in a
collaborative manner to administer, financially support, and implement the Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP);
WHEREAS, The Colorado Department of Human Services, the Colorado Department of Early Childhood, and the County understand and agree that the services and assistance
outlined in the MOU are subject to available appropriations by the General Assembly, and the County. Neither party will be obligated to provide services or assistance if adequate appropriations have not been made;
WHEREAS, The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County
to approve this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado Approving a Memorandum of Understanding
with Prowers County Hotline and County Connection Center s, and authorizes the Chair to sign the Resolution and upon the satisfaction of the County Attorney as to form, execute any other associated documents necessary to complete this matter.

Memorandum of Understanding Amendment #1 Between The Colorado Department of Early Childhood and Pitkin County Health and Human Services
This Amendment No. 1 (“Amendment”) is effective as of January 1, 2024, and hereby amends the
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) executed by and between the State of Colorado Department of Early Childhood and the Board of the County Commissioners or other elected governing body of Pitkin County Health and Human Services County (the “County”) on December 23, 2022 (the “MOU”). All capitalized terms not defined in this Amendment shall have the
meanings set forth in the MOU.
In consideration of the mutual promises contained herein, the sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Parties agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
1. Reaffirmation of the MOU for the Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP).
