RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (“BOCC”) OF
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, APPOINTING CITIZEN BOARD MEMBERS
RESOLUTION NO. 026-2024
RECITALS
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
(“HRC”), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal resolution may be
acted upon by informal resolution, and;
WHEREAS, The BoCC interviewed 7 applicants from March - April for the alternate vacancy
on the Airport Advisory Board and agreed to appoint Andrew Doremus at their May 7, 2024
work session, and;
WHEREAS, The BoCC interviewed Valerie Braun on March 12, 2024 for renewal of her term
on the Airport Advisory Board and agreed at their May 7, 2024 meeting to reappoint her to her
regular position, and;
WHEREAS, The BoCC agreed at their May 7, 2024 work session to promote Charley Podolak
from alternate to regular member on the Board of Adjustment and all appointments are listed
below.

Valerie Braun - Airport Advisory Board - Reg. (renewal) April 1, 2027
Charley Podolack - Board of Adjustment - Alt. to Reg. April 1, 2025
WHEREAS, The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution to appoint Citizen Board members and
authorizes the Chair to sign the Resolution and execute any other associated documents
necessary to complete this matter.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED ON THE 8th DAY OF MAY 2024.
