COUNTY,COLORADO RATIFYING TRUSTEE APPOINTMENTS TO THE
BASALT REGIONAL LIBRARY BOARD
RESOLUTION NO.O/y -2017
RECITALS:
I. Pursuant to Section 2.8.4(Actions) of the Pitkin County I Iome Rule Charter('HRC"), all
matters not required to he acted upon by ordinance or formal resolution may be acted upon by
informal resolution.
2. Appointments to the Basalt Library Board must be ratified by the Pitkin County Board of
Co inmissioners.
3. On February 9,2017 interviews were conducted and the Board agreed to appoint Roger Garrett
as Pitk in County representative and Rebecca Musselman as an Eagle County representative.
4. This appointment is effective as of February 22. 2017.
5. The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to approve this
Resolution.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County,
Colorado that it approves ratifying the appointment of Roger Garrett to the Basalt Regional Library
Board of Trustees and authorizes the Chair to sign on behalf of the county.
