PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO RATIFYING THE APPOINTMENT OF
VICTORIA TREECE TO THE BASALT REGIONAL LIBRARY BOARD OF
TRUSTEES
RESOLUTION NO. ot(‘ -2019
RECITALS:
1. Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
("HRC"), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal
resolution may be acted upon by informal resolution.
2. Pitkin County appointments to the Basalt Library Board must be ratified by the
Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners.
3. On February 26, 2019 an interview was conducted by the Pitkin County Board of
Commissioners.
4. Commissioner Poschman and Commissioner Newman represent the Basalt Library
Board for Pitkin County and agreed to the appointment of Victoria Treece as the
Pitkin County representative to fill the vacancy due to Richard Hampleman's term
expiration on March 1, 2019.
5. Victoria's term will expire on March 1, 2022.
6. The appointment is effective as of March 13, 2019
7. The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution Ratifying the Appointment of
Victoria Treece to the Basalt Regional Library Board of Trustees and authorizes the Chair
to sign the Resolution and upon the satisfaction of the County Attorney as to form, execute
any other associated documents necessary to complete this matter.
