COUNTY HOUSING AUTHOR/ITY (APCHA)
RESOLUTION NO. a l -2019
RECITALS
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
("HRC"), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal resolution may be
acted upon by informal resolution, and
WHEREAS, Pitkin County Board of Commissioners and City of Aspen Council interviewed
citizen applicants on July 11, 2019 for the reconstituted APCHA Board;
WHEREAS, Terms for all members will be four (4) years, after the initial terms stated below in
order to stagger terms;
WHEREAS,The Intergovernmental Agreement establishes that all appointments will be made
jointly and the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners agreed with City of Aspen Council to
appoint the following citizens to the APCHA Board:
APPLICANT Term Expires
Carson Schmitz (4 year term) July 31, 2023
John Ward (3 year term) July 31, 2022
Rick Head (2 year term) July 31, 2021
David Laughren—Alternate (4 year term) July 31, 2023
WHEREAS,The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners
("BOCC") of Pitkin County Colorado, Appointing Members to the Aspen Pitkin County
Housing Authority (APCHA) and authorizes the Chair to sign the Resolution and execute any
other associated documents necessary to complete this matter.
