HEALTHY RIVERS AND STREAMS CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD Meeting Minutes Third Street Center Carbondale, CO 81623 Calaway Mtg Room January 17, 2018 – 4:00 p.m. River Board members present: Bill Jochems, Lisa Tasker, Kate Hudson, Andre Wille,
River Board members absent: Elle Taylor, Ken Neubecker Others present: Lisa MacDonald, John Ely _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Board Comment – Mr. Wille noted the ice floes hitting the Roaring Fork River this summer. Public Comment – none
Appointment of Chair and Vice-Chair for 2019 Chairman Jochems moved to appoint Andre Wille as the chairman for 2019. Ms. Hudson seconded the motion. The motion passed 4/0. Chairman Jochems moved to appoint Kate Hudson as the Vice Chair. Ms. Tasker seconded the motion. The motion passed 4/0. Mr. Wille continued the meeting as the Chairman.
Approval of the minutes from November Nov 8, 2018
Chairman Wille moved to approve the Nov 8 meeting minutes. Ms. Tasker seconded the motion. The motion passed 4/0. Youth Water Leadership Program 2018 – Wild Rose Education, Sarah Johnson Sarah Johnson provided the Board with information and details from the successful 2018 2nd Annual Healthy Rivers Youth Water Summit and year in review of the Youth Water Leadership program. The Board provided feedback on the summit and asked Ms. Johnson to return in February with some cost opinions for the 2019 program. Bill Blakeslee – Water Commissioner – Evaporation from Ponds Mr. Blakeslee, water commissioner for the Water Division No. 5, State of Colorado discussed the issue of evaporation from ponds with the Board.
Darrell Munsell – Historian- Proposed documentary film- Rivers of Fortune Mr. Munsell updated the Board on the proposed film’s progress and provided some funding opportunities and options they have to date along with the film’s budget. He will return to the Board at a future meeting to seek a sponsorship from the Board for the film. John Ely – Colorado River District Update

Ms. Hudson moved to adjourn the meeting. Ms. Tasker seconded the motion. The motion passed 4/0. Adjourn: The Board adjourned at approximately 7:15 p.m.
