HEALTHY RIVERS AND STREAMS CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD Meeting Minutes Via Zoom April 21, 2018 – 4:00 p.m.
River Board members present: Bill Jochems, Lisa Tasker, Andre Wille, Chuck Ogilby, Wendy Huber, Chris Lemons, Chris Wheatley River Board members absent: Others present: Lisa MacDonald _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Continued discussion of the Town of Carbondale Grant request from April 16, 2020 The Board considered further comments from the the Town of Carbondale grant applicants. Applicants included Heather Lewin, Roaring Fork Conservancy, Quinn Donnelly, RiverRetoration.org, Jay Harrington, Town of Carbondale, Eric Brendlinger, Town of Carbondale Parks and Rec Director. Chairman Wille moved to support the grant request to complete remaining 40% of the study in the amount of $50,000. Mr. Ogilby amended the motion asking for completion of the telemetry, invite the town to come back for the fall grant cycle and to work on finishing the telemetry with the interest of completing the Weaver Ditch. Mr. Wheatley seconded the amended motion. The motion passed 6/0 with Ms. Tasker voting against. A river board and Town of Carbondale joint meeting was suggested. Staff provided the Board with joint meeting dates for the BOCC meeting. May 26th worked for everyone. Any topics need to be provided to the county manager’s office by May 18th. Ms. Huber left the meeting at approximately 5:25.pm Open Discussion Items With the departure of Kate Hudson from the Board, Pitkin County OST needs a replacement Board member on the Penny Hot Springs stakeholder group, Mr. Ogilby, Chairman Wille volunteered. Ms. Huber had previously offered be a part as well.
Chairman Wille moved to adjourn the meeting. Ms. Tasker seconded the motion. The motion passed 6/0.
