Meeting Minutes

Nov 21, 2019 – 4:15 p.m.
River Board Present: Lisa Tasker, Chris Wheatley, Bill Jochems, Kate Hudson, Andre Wille
River Board Absent: Ken Neubecker. Chris Lemons
Staff Present: Lisa MacDonald
Board Comment – Chairman Wille read the resignation letter from member, Ken Neubecker. He is resigning due to
pressing family health issues.
Public Comment - None
Additions/Deletions to the Agenda – None
Approval of the minutes from July 18, Sept 19 and Oct 17, 2019.
Chairman Wille moved to approve the minutes of July, 18, Sept 19 and October 17, 2019 with a corrections as
noted. Ms. Tasker seconded the motion. The motion passed 5/0.
Crystal River Bank Stabilization Project – Gary Tennebaum, Seth Mason
Mr. Tennebaum and Mr. Mason presented the stabilization project to the Board. This is an opportunity to work with
Open Space on a joint project. The Board did not make any decision as to whether it would contribute inancially with
OST during the presentation.
Whitewater Park Modi ications - Quinn Donnelly River Restoration
Mr. Donnelly discussed the proposed changes to the park to address concerns with the upper wave feature during high
water periods. Work will begin in early 2020 after CPW and UACE approval of plans.
Retreat Follow-up – Priorities/Tasks for 2020
These items were continued to the December meeting.
Open Discussion
Staff sought input from the Board on a joint BOCC meeting. It was suggested a January meeting date would
work.
Hats, shirts and sweatshirts with the River Program’s logo are being produced. Some for the Youth Water Summit
being held in Dec.
The Board was reminded to sign up for the Summit.
Adjourn: Chairman Wille moved to adjourn. Ms. Tasker seconded the motion. The motion passed 5/0.
The Board adjourned at approximately 7:05 p.m.
