HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.116.2024RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (“BOCC”) OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, APPOINTING CITIZEN BOARD MEMBERS RESOLUTION NO. 116-2024 RECITALS WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter (“HRC”), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal resolution may be acted upon by informal resolution, and; WHEREAS, The BoCC interviewed Scot Woolley and Joe Mason on November 7, 2024 for a joint position on the Aspen Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA) and agreed to make a decision once Aspen City Council interviewed both applicants, and; WHEREAS, The Aspen City Council interviewed Scot Woolley and Joe Mason on November 11, 2024 for a joint position on the Aspen Pitkin County Housing Authority (APCHA) and agreed to appoint Scot at their November 19, 2024 meeting, and; WHEREAS, The BoCC was informed of Aspen City Council’s decision to appoint Scot Woolley on December 3, 2024 and agreed to do the same. Scot will assume the term left vacant by the resignation of Alycin Bektesh. APPLICANTS & BOARD TERM EXPIRES Scot Woolley - Aspen Pitkin Housing Authority (APCHA) - (joint) April 1, 2025 WHEREAS,The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to approve this Resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution to appoint Citizen Board members and authorizes the Chair to sign the Resolution and execute any other associated documents necessary to complete this matter.
