Contractor’s Obligations. Contractor shall provide the engineering services described in the attached Contractor Task Order (“Attachment A”) to assist the County in the design and construction of the 2025 Lower River Road Paving Project. 2. Compensation and Expenses, Invoicing, Payment and Offset. The County shall compensate Contractor for its services in accordance with the Project Budget and Schedule set out in Paragraph 1 of this Task Order. It is expressly understood and agreed that in no event will the total compensation and reimbursement to be paid hereunder exceed the sum of Fourteen Thousand dollars and Zero cents ($14,000.00) for all services rendered. By Task Order or Task Order Amendment, the County and Contractor may reallocate the budget among project tasks if the total budget amount remains unchanged. Contractor shall invoice for the project monthly based on hours worked, with payment expected within thirty (30) days of invoice, but any payment by the County may be offset by any amount the Contractor owes the County for any reason. Any invoices not sent in the following manner may have payment delayed. All invoices for this Task Order shall reference Task Order 002.20 B-23 and 2025 Lower River Road Paving Project - Design Survey Support. Pitkin County shall administer this contract through a County Representative. Chris Baroody, Project Engineer will manage the project as the County’s Representative. The services provided and products delivered by the Contractor under this contract will be subject to review by the County’s Representatives, or a designee, for compliance with Contractor’s obligations prior to final payment. 4. Formation of Task Order. This Task Order is issued in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement. Contractor agrees to provide services subject to the terms of this Task Order and for the avoidance of doubt this Task Order consists of the terms set out in the Agreement. A.Project Description This project consists of existing conditions mapping of 5 sites on Lower River Road. B.Work Plan Task 1 – Project Management and Task Order Administration This consists of ongoing project management and coordination between Pitkin County and the consultant team. Task 2 – Existing Conditions Survey 1.Site 1 MM 1.10Proposed improvement include road and bank stabilization of Lower River Road from sta.160+00 to sta. 163+00.Survey Scope: a.Topography 20-ft from centerline on left side of roadway, 30 to 40-feet on right side to capture adjacent steep slope. b.Existing culvert(s) and roadway EOP, EOS from sta. 159+00 to 164+00. 2.Site 2 MM 1.61 Proposed improvement include piping of existing irrigation ditch with installation of inlet. Removal and replacement of culverts with culvert crossing of Lower River Road. Survey Scope: a.Survey of existing Wheatley Ditch and culverts from Lower River Road to East River Ranch Road access. Survey of roadway EOP, EOS and centerline 20 to 30-feet either side of existing culvert crossing of Lower River Road. 3.Site 3 MM 1.95 Proposed improvement include installation of inlet and removal and replacement of culverts with culvert crossing of Lower River Road. Survey Scope: Attachment A Pitkin County On-Call Engineering Services Master Service Agreement #: 002.20 2 a. Survey of roadway EOP, EOS and centerline 20 to 30-feet either side of existing culvert crossing of Lower River Road. Survey of existing inlet and outfall of irrigation culvert outfall and ditch 200-feet to the west of the inlet. 4. Site 4 MM 3.70 Proposed improvement include 300-feet of realignment and reprofile of Lower River Road and installation of cross culvert. Survey Scope: a. Survey 20 to 30-feet from centerline of roadway to include existing culvert(s) and roadway EOP, EOS from sta. 221+00 to 225+00. 5. Site 5 MM 3.40 Proposed improvement include installation of cross culvert and inlets to drain low area in front of Phillips Hillside. Survey Scope: a. Survey of roadway and trail EOP, EOS and centerline from 20 to 30-feet either side of proposed crossing of Lower River Road and trail. Note: 1 day of subcontracted traffic control will be required to complete roadway surveying tasks and included in the estimated fee for Task 2. Estimated cost of $3,000 Task 3 – Office Survey (Base Mapping) This consists of compiling field data and creating an existing conditions base map drawing that the County can use for their design. C. Deliverables • AutoCAD Civil3D file of the above-described scopes of mapping and XML file of the existing surface D. Schedule Field work to be completed ASAP. Deliverables to be completed by January 14, 2025 E. Exclusions and Limitations • Boundary survey is excluded from the scope of work. • Utility locates are not included. Visible above ground utilities will be surveyed. • Each of the sites can be surveyed with separate control. • Construction staking for the above improvements under a separate or expanded task order. • Survey of the right side of Site 1 may encroach on the Wheatley Tracts private property. The County has a signed rights-to-enter agreement from the property representative which can be provided before the start of work. 2.
