Meeting Minutes

River Board members present: Bill Jochems, Elle Taylor, Kate Hudson, Ken Neubecker, Lisa Tasker
River Board members absent: Andre Wille
Others present: Lisa MacDonald

Ms. Hudson arrived late.
Crystal River Restoration Workshop Proposal – Heather Lewin John Emerick
Ms. Lewin and Mr. Emerick presented a proposal for a Crystal River Restoration Workshop and sought sponsorship
funding from the River Board in amount of $4750.
The purpose would be to facilitate a dialog among stakeholders focused on habitat resonation effects along the Crystal
River and to assemble a working group to develop and prioritize a Crystal River restoration plan.
Ms. Tasker moved to approved $4750 for the Crystal River Restoration Workshop with a guarantee the Board would
have some leadership role in the effort. Ms. Taylor seconded the motion. The motion passed 5/0.
Carbondale to Crested Butte Trail discussion
Tom Newland appeared by phone.
Should the Board just express to the BOCC “just no trail”?

1. Riverrestoration submitted a proposal for continued work on the Robinson ditch for funding and concepts for
$35,000. The Board approved the funds.
2. The River Board was asked to speak at the Avon Sustaining Watershed Conference in Avon in October.
Mr. Neubecker offered to present.
