Altitude Septic installed the system. The OWTS design was based on a 4-bedroom residence. A design flow of 600 GPD was being used. The existing septic tank was pumped and the top, sides, and bottom of the tank collapsed, and the void filled with on-site soils. The existing STA was abandoned in place. The sewer line from the residence to the existing septic tank was recently replaced. The existing sewer line remained and a double-sweep clean out was installed on the existing sewer line just before the new septic tank. The installation included a new 1500-gallon, two-compartment poly Infiltrator® septic tank with an Orenco® Biotube Effluent filter on the outlet. This filter must be cleaned annually, or as needed. Effluent gravity flows to a distribution box, which was accessible from grade. Flow equalizers were installed to assure equal flow to each bed. The STA consists of two beds (Bed A and Bed B). Bed A has 4 rows of 9 ‘Quick 4’ Low Profile Infiltrator® chambers for a total of 36 chambers and 432 square feet of infiltrative area. Bed B has 3 rows of 12 ‘Quick 4’ Low Profile Infiltrator® chambers for a total of 36 chambers and 432 square feet of infiltrative area. There was at least 6-feet of undisturbed soil between the beds. Inspection ports were installed in each corner of both beds. Ports may be cut to grade and placed in sprinkler boxes for access. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. CBO Inc. should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Sincerely, CBO Inc.
