RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS (“BOCC”) OF
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, APPOINTING CITIZEN BOARD MEMBERS
RESOLUTION NO. 011-2025
RECITALS
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
(“HRC”), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal resolution may be
acted upon by informal resolution, and;
WHEREAS, The BoCC interviewed Brian Littlejohn on January 28, 2025 for a regular position
on the Pitkin County Retirement Board and agreed to make a decision to appoint, and;
WHEREAS, The Basalt Library Board of Trustees approved the renewal of Pitkin County
Trustee, Eric Pelander’s second term on the Basalt Library Board in January 2025, and;
WHEREAS, The Basalt Library Board requires ratification of any trustee appointment approved
by the Basalt Library Board, and;
WHEREAS, The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.

Brian Littlejohn - Pitkin County Retirement Board (new) April 1, 2029
Eric Pelander - Basalt Library Board Trustee (Pitkin - renewal) March 31, 2028
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County, Colorado that it hereby adopts a Resolution to appoint Citizen Board members and
authorizes the Chair to sign the Resolution and execute any other associated documents
necessary to complete this matter.
INTRODUCED, READ AND ADOPTED ON THE 12th DAY OF FEBRUARY 2025.
