Contractor’s Obligations. Contractor shall provide the design review services for the Redstone Bridge Replacement Project, as described in the attached Contractor Scope of Work (“Attachment A”). 2. Compensation and Expenses, Invoicing, Payment and Offset. The County shall compensate Contractor for its services in accordance with the Project Budget and Schedule set out in Paragraph 1 of this Task Order. It is expressly understood and agreed that in no event will the total compensation and reimbursement to be paid hereunder exceed the sum of Three Thousand Six Hundred and Fifty dollars and Zero cents ($3,650.00) for all services rendered. By Task Order or Task Order Amendment, the County and Contractor may reallocate the budget among project tasks if the total budget amount remains unchanged. Contractor shall invoice for the project monthly based on hours worked, with payment expected within thirty (30) days of invoice, but any payment by the County may be offset by any amount the Contractor owes the County for any reason. Any invoices not sent in the following manner may have payment delayed. All invoices for this Task Order shall reference Task Order 040.25 B-1 and Redstone Bridge Replacement Peer Review. Pitkin County shall administer this contract through a County Representative. Andrew Knapp, County Engineer will manage the project as the County’s Representative. The services provided and products delivered by the Contractor under this contract will be subject to review by the County’s Representatives, or a designee, for compliance with Contractor’s obligations prior to final payment. 4. Formation of Task Order. This Task Order is issued in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement. Contractor agrees to provide services subject to the terms of this Task Order and for the avoidance of doubt this Task Order consists of the terms set out in the Agreement. This design project is being delivered using a Design-Bid-Build contracting method. This Pitkin County project generally consists of designing a new bridge structure to replace the existing bridge located over the Crystal River. Items of work include: o Structural Peer Review of FOR bridge plans that are expected to be submitted by theconsultant SGM on June 30th, 2025.o Peer Review of draft Special Provision specifications.o Constructability review of the proposed new bridge and approach roadways. o Discussion of findings with the Pitkin County Engineer, if requested Assumptions: •A review of the Structure Selection Report is not required. This document will be used only forreference during the Peer Review. •A peer review of SGM’s design calculations is not required. •HDR will be reviewing the FOR plan set, with a focus on the Bridge subset of sheets. Othersubset sheets will be considered information only. •HDR will provide a general constructability review of the FOR plan set and draft special provisions. •HDR’s comments will be returned to Pitkin County electronically within the PDF files of eachrespective document. •HDR’s efforts include responding to questions that the County may have on the comments, butdo not include time to meet or coordinate directly with SGM. Schedule: The peer review period is expected to commence on July 10th, 2025. Reviews will be completed by July 15th, to allow time for Pitkin County and SGM to review the comments ahead of the FOR meeting scheduled for July 22nd, 2025. For this Task Order, it is anticipated the following resources will be needed from HDR: •Darin Freeman, PE, Project Manager and Structural Peer Reviewer •Sean O’Grady, PE, Constructability Reviewer •Project Administrator/Accountant Authorization to Proceed Work shall not commence until a written Task Order is received by HDR and shall be completed in the time specified.
