Contractor’s Obligations. Contractor shall provide the services described in the attached Scope of Work and Cost Estimate (“Attachment A”) 2. Compensation and Expenses, Invoicing, Payment and Offset. The County shall compensate Contractor for its services in accordance with the Project Budget and Schedule set out in Paragraph 1 of this Task Order. It is expressly understood and agreed that in no event will the total compensation and reimbursement to be paid hereunder exceed the sum of Forty-Four Thousand Five Hundred dollars and Zero cents ($44,500.00) for all services rendered. By Task Order or Task Order Amendment, the County and Contractor may reallocate the budget among project tasks if the total budget amount remains unchanged. Contractor shall invoice for the project monthly based on hours worked, with payment expected within thirty (30) days of invoice, but any payment by the County may be offset by any amount the Contractor owes the County for any reason. Any invoices not sent in the following manner may have payment delayed. All invoices for this Task Order shall reference Task Order 012.25 A-2 and Courthouse Underground Piping Replacement. Formation of Task Order. This Task Order is issued in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement. Contractor agrees to provide services subject to the terms of this Task Order and for the avoidance of doubt this Task Order consists of the terms set out in the Agreement. Contractor’s Obligations. A. Project Description This project consists of providing subsurface utility locating, surveying and design of buried utility relocations that were damaged during a recent construction project. The anticipated area for installation of new pipes is depicted in the blue outline in the photo below. The approximate limits of utility locates and field survey are depicted by the red outline. The survey and utility locate limits are more extensive than the piping area to capture adjacent existing features and property boundaries. Attachment A Pitkin County On-Call Engineering Services Master Service Agreement #: 012.25 2 B. Work Plan The project is anticipated to include the following items: 1. Existing Conditions Survey • Tie survey to City of Aspen GPS Control Monuments (12-2-2009 network). • Use 1988 NAVD vertical datum. • Locate existing property corners located in the project area. • Existing buildings and improvements located. • Easements and encroachments labeled with references. • One-foot contour intervals shown. • Show curb cuts, driveways, and access to public rights-of-way. • Location, species, trunk diameter, and drip lines of all trees, including neighboring trees with drip line encroachments. 2. Utilities and Records • Map all visible utilities and those found via utility locates. • Perform a QL-B utility investigation utilizing existing records, photos, as-builts, and other data from the utility owners prior to the field investigation. • In the field, pick up any known and identifiable unknown utilities to further define the network of underground utilities for the site. • Integrate all utility data into a CAD and PDF deliverable for use by the engineering team for relocation design and the contractor for damage prevention during installation. 3. Engineering – Civil and Mechanical • Prepare civil site plans showing proposed improvements, removals, details. • Prepare mechanical plans and details for the proposed piping. 4. Construction Phase Support / Contract Administration • Some level of design support / CA is anticipated but not included in this scope. We can revisit this prior to construction and develop a separate scope as required. C. Deliverables • Stamped plans for construction. D. Schedule • Construction plans completed by the end of August. E. Exclusions and Limitations • Title commitments are not included in this scope. • Existing Conditions Survey does not include a comprehensive boundary survey of the entire property. • Client to provide access to property and any prior surveys or legal descriptions available. • All underground utility information is based on available records and SGM locate markings. Contractor may need to pothole ahead of construction for specific conflicts identified in the design plans. 2. Compensation and Expenses.
