BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION 974-5
REUSE OF DUMP FOR SLUDGE DISPOSAL
WHEREAS the Aspen Sanitation District and 'Aspen
Metropolitan Sanitation District are no longer able to use
the existing site at the Aspen Raceways property a~ Woody
Creek for disposal of sludge; and
WHEREAS it is necessary that the sludge be disposed in
a certified area until such time as a more suitable ~site can be
approved pursuant to law; and
WHEREAS the City-County Dump has been so certified;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the County Commissioners
by this Resolution permit reuse of the City-County ump in
accordance with good, sufficient and sanitary sludg disposal
management practices, for sludge disposal on a ~empo~ary basis,
and until such time as a more suitable site can be bund and
approved;
PROVIDED, HOWEVER, that the said sanitatioln districts
shall as a condztlon to such use a to 'he p I_ . _i

all costs, direct and ~ndlrect, incident to the utilization by them,
including, but no~ limited to, site preparation, site maintenance
dumping; and i

PROVIDED, FURTHER that right herein granted shall be
conditigned upon the additional approval of the City of Aspen ~o
this Resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED
without notice to the respective
subsequent resolution revoke the
