AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO AUTHORIZING THE GRANTING OF AN
NON-EXCLUSIVE EASEMENT TO THE
ASPEN CONSOLIDATED SANITATION DISTRICT FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ROADWAY, DRAINAGE, MAINTENANCE AND FOR THE
AIRPORT-PUBLIC WORKS SANITARY SEWER TRUNK LINE

Recitals
The Aspen Consolidated Sanitation District has had an access road fi.om Highway
82 to the sanitation plant since the late1960's.
The Aspen Consolidated Sanitation District did not obtain an easement fi.om the
Airport Ranch owners when the plant was built.
As a condition of building the Bus Maintenance Facility, the County obliterated
part of the old Sanitation District Road and allowed for relocated access over
Service Center Road.
The County installed a sewer tnmk line in 1995 and 1996 from the sanitation plant
to the Airport. As part of the line extension agreement, the County agreed to grant
an easement to the Aspen Consolidated Sanitation District for the maintenance
and operation of the tnmk line.
The granting of this easement will formalize the Aspen Consolidated Sanitation
District rights for a non-exclusive easement for access, road maintenance,
drainage and for sewer tnmk line operations and maintenance.
NOW THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County, Colorado that the Board of County Commissioners does hereby authorize the granting of
a non-exclusive easement to the Aspen Consolidated Sanitation District for the purposes
described above. The easement is described more fully in the attached Exhibit A. Further the
Board authorizes the Chairman to execute any necessary documents for the granting of the
easement.
