DESCRIPTION OF ISSUE:
1. In July, 2000, the Central Mountain Regional Emergency and TraUma Advisory
Council (CM RETAC) was formed, pursuant to CRS 25-3.5-7.4, as amended. Provisions
were made for appointed members and alternates to represent each of the five counties
comprising CM RETAC (Chaffee, Eagle, Lake, Park and Pitkin). The RETAC
legislation allows for RETAC members to serve at the pleasure of their appointing
counties, and the appointing County may remove or replace its appointees at will.
2. The Pitkin County Emergency and TraUma Advisory Council (EMTAC) has
solicited nominations and is recommending to the Board of County Commissioners the
following individuals to serve as the slate of representatives from Pitkin County to vote
on CM RETAC issues:
· Ellen Anderson: Pitkin County Emergency Management Coordinator
· Janice Martin: Trauma Coordinator, Aspen Valley Hospital
· Dr. William Rodman: Trauma Surgeon, Aspen Valley Hospital
· Flint Smith: Emergency Medical Coordinator, Basalt Rural and Fire
Protection District
· Rich Walker: Director, Aspen Ambulance District
STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval.
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO,
APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF PITKIN COUNTY VOTING MEMBERS
TO THE
CENTRAL MOUNTAIN REGIONAL EMERGENCY AND TRAUMA ADVISORY
COUNCIL
RESOLUTION NO. 2004
1. Pursuant to the Intergovernmental Agreement dated July 1,2000 which
established a Regional Emergency and Trauma Advisory Council (RETAC),
known as the Central Mountain RETAC (CM-RETAC), and as amended by the
First Amendment to the Intergovernmental Agreement, the Board of County
Commissioners appoints the voting members to represent Pitkin County.
2. The Board of County Commissioners wishes to appoint the following
individuals to serve for a period of three years:
· Ellen Anderson: Pitkin County Emergency Management
Coordinator
· Janice Martin: Trauma Coordinator, Aspen Valley Hospital
· Dr. William Rodman: Trauma Surgeon, Aspen Valley Hospital
· Flint Smith: Emergency Medical Coordinator, Basalt Rural and Fire
Protection District
· Rich Walker: Director, Aspen Ambulance District
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Pitkin County, Colorado approves the above slate of individuals to act as
voting members for the Central Mountain Emergency and Trauma Advisory
Council for a period of three years.
