BOARD OF PITKIN COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
NO. 74-23
WHEREAS, Mr. William C. Mason, of the real estate
firm of Mason & Morse Incorporated, has requested the Board
of County Commissioners to cancel the 1960 taxes on the
following described real property situate in the County of
Pitkin, State of Colorado:
Lot 4, Block 2, ASPEN GROVE SUBDIVISION,
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Mason exhibited to this Board Certificate
of Taxes Due No. 838, issued on the 27th day of September,
1961, by then-County Treasurer, Philip J. Crosby, reflecting
no outstanding taxes for the year 1961; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to authorization and direction
given in 137-8-30 and 31 C.R.S., 1963, the Commissioners
should cancel the outstanding and delinquent taxes on the
above-described property for the year 1960,
WHEREUPON, upon motion made and seconded, the follow-
ing resolution was unanimously adopted:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the 1960 taxes on Lot 4, Block
2, ASPEN GROVE SUBDIVISION, Pitkin County, Colorado, be and
the same hereby are cancelled by the Board of Commissioners
of Pitkin County, Colorado, under authority of 137-8-30 and
31, C.R.S., 1963, the reason for such cancellation being that
the Pitkin County Treasurer, on September 27, 1961, erroneously
issued a Certificate of Taxes due, that being No. 838, issued
in that year, reflecting that all taxes on the above-described
property were paid, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board of Pitkin
County Commissioners does hereby instruct the Pitkin County
Treasurer to reflect the cancellation of said taxes in the
records of Pitkin County Treasurer's Office.
