RESOLUTION OF Tf BOARD OF COIINTY COMMISSIONERS
OF PITRIN COUNTY, COLORADO, AMENDING RESOLIITION 88-4I
ESTABLISHING THE REDSTONE $ISTORIC PRESERVATION COMNSISSION
Resolution No. 90-1
WAEREAS, the citizens of Pitkin County wish to preserve
areas of historical importance within the County; and C
U'.WHEREAS, the residents of historically-designated Redstone S
i and its immediate vicinity on the Crystal River are particularly
concerned that Redstone's historically significant areas, sites
i and objects be preserved through careful alterations to existing
structures, and appropriately designed new construction; and t ,'y.i,,. ne

wishes to repeal and re-enact Section 2 of Resolution 88-41,

establishing membership criteria for the HPC..
NOW, T iEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County
Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, hereby repeals and re-3.-...
j;enacts Section 2 (B) and (C) of Resolution 88-41 as follows:

J B) Regular members shall serve three (3) year terms, for
not more than two (2) consecutive terms. Alternate members
shall serve for two (2) year terms, Por not more than two
2) consecutive terms. Regular member vacancies shall be
filled first by the senior alternate member, if agreed upon
by that member. In the event that an alternate member
cannot be found to fill a regular member's vacancy, then a
d new member shall be appointed. Terms shall run from t :September 1 through August 31 of each year. Members may be
reappointed for successive terms and each member shall serve
until the appointment of his or her successor. Ex-Officio
members may be appointed by the Board of County
R Commissioners, upon the recommendation of the Historic
Preservation Commission for a period of five (5) years with
no limit on the number of renewable terms.

C) Alternates or Ex-Officio members shall act only in the
event of the absence of a regular member. The Chairman i-<
shall appoint any alternate or Ex-officio present to act in f'
the absence of a regular member.
