Gentlemen~
I am writing this letter of intent pursuant to my meeting
with County Administrator Alan Blomquist on I~ay 14, 1974,
regarding architectural services to be rendered £or the
remodeling o¢ a portion of the Pitkin County Courthouse
basement, and architectural consultation as may be required
for remodeling other portions of the courthouse designated
by you or your representative.
! twill produce the necessary construction documents to
outline the scope of basement remodeling designating wall
locations, materials, finishes and lighting, it is my
understanding that mechanical and structural engineering
services, as may be required, will be contracted and paid
for by the County under separate agreements.
Upon completion of the necessary construction drawings for
basement remodeling, I wilt assist in obtaining bids or
negotiated proposals, and in awarding and preparing con-
struction contracts.
During the course of construction, as may be necessary, I
will make periodic visits to the site to determine in general
that work is proceeding in accordance with the contract
documents,
I will also be available, as may be necessary and from time to
time as required, to perform in a consultant capacity for the
remodeling and/or redecorating of other areas of -[he court-
house structure.
For the above services I will be compensated twenty-five
dollars (~25.00) per hour for principal's time (Theodore L.
Mularz), eighteen dollars (;:,;18.00) per hour for architect's
time and fifteen dollars (;ii. 15.00) per hour for architectural
draftsman's time. Billing for services rendered shall be
monthly.

If the work covered by this agreement is abandoned, suspended
or completed, ! will be paid for services rendered on the
hourly basis outlined above until such time.
Please indicate your acceptance of this letter of intent
by signing one copy and returning it to me.
