Re: Exemption from the Definition of a Subdivision
Bank of Snowmass
WHEREAS, on May 20, 1974, J. Robert Young, re-
presenting the Bank of Snowmass, made application for
exemption from the definition of a subdivision as contained
under the Pitkin County Subdivision Regulations, and
WHEREAS, the application is for the purpose of
allowing a temporary structure to be placed upon parcel
A1 of the West Village Unit A Subdivision, as shown on the
site plan for the temporary structure on file at the office
of the Pitkin County Building Inspector, and
WHEREAS, the Bank of Snowmass is planning to move
to a more permanent site within 24 months, and
WHEREAS, the Bank of Snowmass agrees that removal
of the temporary structure will not cause financial hardship,
and
WHEREAS, the Bank of Snowmass has been approved by
the Colorado Division of Banking, and
WHEREAS, based upon the facts presented by the ap-
plicant, this Board has determined that the application is
the proper subject for an exemption, there being no useful
purpose to be served by full application of the Subdivision
Regulations,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
County Commissioners grant the requested exemption from the
definition of a subdivision, subject to the following con-
ditions:
1. The temporary structure, as located as
shown on the site plan on file, shall be
used for banking purposes only, and by the
Bank of Snowmass.
2. The temporary structure shall be moved
from the site when the Bank of Snowmass
has acquired permanent quarters, but in
no case may the temporary structure remain
on the site for more than twenty-four (24)
months from the date of issuance of the
building permit, and
3. Any foundation construction in place after
removal of the temporary structure shall be
extracted and the site landscaped to con-
ditions existing prior to construction.
Foundation extraction and site landscape
shall be completed within ninety (90)
days after removal of the temporary
structure, and
4. Site landscape shall meet the approval of
the County Building Inspector or his agent.
