WHEREAS, Section 139-53-17, C.R.S. 1963 provides that
such delinquent fees, upon such certification to the Board
of County Commissioners, "shall become a lien upon the real
property so served by said sewer connection, and collected in
the manner as though they were part of the taxes,"
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the amounts as
indicated above shall be liens upon the real property indicated
above, the same as are real property taxes, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution
be provided to the Treasurer of Pitkin County so that she may
endorse upon her books the amounts as indicated as liens upon
the property as indicated, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be recorded with the Pitkin County Clerk and Recorder, and the
lien indexed to the property indicated, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution
be sent to the delinquent parties as indicated above, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Treasurer take such
further steps as are necessary and appropriate to collect the
delinquent fees as real property taxes as provided by statute.
