The Board of County Commissioners
(~BOCC") has directed the preparation
of amendraents ~o the Floodplain l~eg-
ulations section :~8~e10 of the Pltkin
County Land Use Code (the ~Code"),
Maps (FIRM) to replace certain FIRM
maps adopted June 4 1987
These amendments to Section 3~8¢40
D will bring said regulations into com-
pliance with current Federal Emer-
gency Management Agency minimum
National Flood Insurance Program reg-
ulatory requirements .
The BOCC finds that the proposed
amendraents to the Code will substan-
tially advance the public health, salety
cud wellare of the ¢itl*ens ol Pitkin
County and be consistent with the
intent o[ the Floodplain Regulations
This ordinance Is adopted as a
regulation ol general applicability for
the health, safety and welfare of the
citizens ol Pit kin County,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
ORDAINED by the PItkln County
Board of Commissioners that it hereby
amends the Pitkin County Land Use
Code Section 2-8040, Floodplain Haz-
ard Areas to include:
