PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 75-~
Re: Quicksilver Limousine Service
WHEREAS, Aspen Airport Transit Company, Inc.,
d/b/a Quicksilver Limousine Service, located at Sandy
Field, Pitkin County, Colorado, has filed an application
with the Colorado Public Utilities Commission for authority
to operate as a common carrier for the transportation of
passengers and their baggage between points within a
seventeen mile radius of the intersection of Castle Creek
Road and Colorado State Highway 82, and to operate
an historic tour from Aspen to Leadville and return via
Colorado State Highway 82 and U.S. Highway 24; and
WHEREAS, Aspen Airport Transit Company, Inc.
has agreed to exclude in its application that authority
presently under lease from the Board of County Commissioners,
Pitkin County, Colorado, namely P.U.C. No. 8581; and
WHEREAS, the existing service has proved inade-
quate to supply the needs of the citizens within the area
designated; and
WHEREAS, Quicksilver Limousine Service has
demonstrated an ability and desire to supply these needs
through successful past performance and present efforts; and
WHEREAS, a prime objective of the Board of County
Commissioners is to provide for the needs
of Pitkin County's citizens and visitors,
reduce the use of and dependence upon the

as well as to
automobile; and
WHEREAS, the granting of the authority to
Quicksilver Limousine Service will greatly aid these goals,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of
County Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado, hereby
supports the application of Aspen Airport Transit Company,
Inc., d/b/a Quicksilver Limousine Service, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this
resolution be forwarded to the Public Utilities Commission.
