HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.072.1975BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 75-~ (Housing Assistance Plan) WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners has established local housing problems as an area of primary concern, and WHEREAS, the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners as organized itself into the housing commission of a local housing authority, and has appointed a full-time housing director to engage in activities resulting in an alleviation of local housing problems, and WHEREAS, the Housing Director has been charged with the development of a comprehensive housing assistance plan synthesizing past housing and economic studies with an analysis of the existing housing stock into a comprehensive analysis of the housing situation specifying those specific actions and operational goals for the public housing authority which will best alleviate local housing problems consistent with other community goals; such as, environmental quality, aesthetic appeal, and the proper location for population densities, and WHEREAS, the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments has made available a two-thirds HUD 701 Grant of $1,666.66 to fund the initial planning and research activities described above, provided that local government appropriate one-third in-kind matching funds, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Pitkin County Board of Commissioners accepts the above proposal and funds offered under the conditions stated in NWCCOG Grant Contract No. 4 with local matching funds of at least $555.55 to be appropriated directly to the 1976 budget for the housing authority for the express purpose of developing a housing assistance plan.
