ESTABLISHINNG FEES FOR FOOD SERVICE
AT SPECIAL EVENTS

RECITALS
I. Pitkin County wishes to set fees which are consistent and fair to the public and which
reflect the expenses incurred in providing such services to the public.
2. Currently there are no fees charge4W reflect the costs of providing the necessary
level of services.
3. All special events providing food service must fill out a form regarding event
information. It is the event coordinator's responsibility to have each food booth fill
out an application to conduct a temporary food service establishment.
4. The Environmental Health Department will assess a $33 review fee per application.
Inspections of food booth are based on risk, and if conducted, the event coordinator
will be charged $33 per food booth.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissioners
of Pitkin County, Colorado that the Environmental Health Department implement
a fee structure for special events providing food service as outlined below:
$33 per application review
$33 per food booth inspection
INTRODUCED, FIRST READ, AND SET FOR PUBLIC HEARING AT
THE REGULAR MEETING ON THE 81h day of March, 2000.
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PUBLISHED IN THE ASPEN TIMES
ON THE 18`' day of March, 2000.
APPROVED AND ADOPED AFTER SECOND READING AND
PUBLIC HEARING ON THE 12th day of April, 2000.
