HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.res.007.1975 PITKIN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS RESOLUTION #75- 7 Human Resources Coordinator March 3, 1975 WHEREAS, the City-County Planning Director and the County Commissioners agree that the Human Resource Planner position budgeted in the Planning Budget for 1975 in the amount of $6,000 should not be filled; and WHEREAS, both agree that a position of Human Resources Coordinator should instead be created and made a part of the County Commissioners' Department; NOW THEREFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY HEREBY RESOLVE THE FOLLOWING: 1. There is hereby created in the Commissioners' Department a position of Human Resources Coordinator which is hereby classified as Grade 15 in the Pay Plan of Pitkin County; and to which Elizabeth Erickson is hereby appointed to Step A of Grade 15; 2. Six thousand dollars ($6,000) is transferred from the Planning Office budget to the Commissioners' Department budget in an account to be called "Human Resources Coordinator" and two thousand dollars ($2,000) is transferred from the Housing account to said Human Resource Coordinator's salary. 3. The duties of said Coordinator shall initially be as follows: a) Identify and inventory all existing agencies, needed social service programs and areas of critical need; b) Serve in an advisory capacity to the Human Resources Council; c) Function as a liaison between the Human Resources Council, other social agencies and County government; d) Provide liaison on human resource matters between the County and NWCCOG, City, State, Federal and private agencies; e) Promote community education directed toward a fuller utilization of our present resources; f) Advise the Board of County Commissioners on matters of social concern, including but not limited to: - 1 - 1) Annual County budget requests; 2) Performance levels and needs in the social services area and each of the related County departments; 3) Social concerns of private agencies; 4) State and Federal programs - Exploration of grants in the human resource area; 5) Existing and projected programs relating to art and culture, recreation, nursing services, mental health, youth and aging, drug and alcoholism, educa- tion and citizen participation BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN COUNTY Chairman ATTEST: ~Nina Johnston, ~eputy Clerk
