SPECIAL MEETING
Site Visit
APRIL 04, 2000
CALL TO ORDER: Acting Chairperson Leslie Lamont called the special meeting for
the site visit to order at 1:00 PM.
COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: Commissioners Leslie Lamont, Dorothea
Farris and Patti Clapper
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: Chairperson Shellie Roy Harper and Vice-
Chairperson Mick Ireland

SYSTEM APPLICATION—APPEAL OF GROWTH MANAGEMENT
COMMISSION'S SCORING—SITE VISIT
Also present for this site visit were Lance Clarke—Deputy Director of Community
Development; Herb Klein—attorney for the applicant; Grafton Smith—Architect; and
Stewart Lusk
After driving up Smuggler Road, the group parked just above the existing Stanger
residence and walked the rest of the way from this point up Smuggler Road. They
walked both the Contraband Lode and the Result Lode Mining Claims.
The Board members evaluated the proposed access (driveway), the open space, the steep
slopes and the proposed building envelope. All four(4) "story" poles were in place.
They also looked over the proposed "public park" site. The applicant has talked of
adding picnic tables and a water fountain here for use by the public.
The Board discussed the other two- (2) potential building sites and driveway locations.
Additionally, they discussed possible, potential well sites and septic sites.
The meeting was adjourned at 2:05 PM.
