ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN
COUNTY, COLORADO, REZONING A PORTION OF THE HARVEY SNOWMASS CREEK
RANCH FROM RS-30/PUD TO RURAL/REMOTE

RECITALS
I. Connie Harvey ("Applicant") has applied to the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County,
Colorado ("BOCC") to rezone 1,435 acres of the Harvey Ranch from RS-30/PUD to Rural/Remote.
2. The property is located on Snowmass Creek Road, and is described as Parcels 8, 9 and 10, as shown
on the Harvey Snowmass Creek Ranch Subdivision Exemption Plat recorded in Plat Book 77 at Pages 89-92
as Reception #521436.
3. The Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed rezoning at a
regularly scheduled meeting on September 6, 2005, and recommended approval by a vote of 4-0.
4. The BOCC considered the proposed rezoning at a duly noticed public hearing on first reading on
October 12,2005, and voted to approve the rezoning on second reading on March 22, 2006.
5. The BOCC finds that the proposed rezoning is consistent with the applicable provisions ofthe
Pitkin County Land Use Code.
6. The BOCC finds that adoption of this ordinance is necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Pitkin County and, therefore, declares this ordinance to
be effective immediately.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOCC that it hereby rezones 1,435 acres of the
Harvey Snowmass Creek Ranch from RS-30/PUD to Rural/Remote, as shown in Exhibit A.

September, 2005.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ AT A PUBLIC HEARING on the lih day of October,
2005.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED AFTER SECOND READING on the 22"" day of March, 2006.
