AMENDMENT NO.1 TO CONTRACT FOR PROVISION OF SERVICES
THIS AMENDMENT NO.1 TO CONTRACT FOR PROVISION OF SERVICES
("Amendment No.1") is made and entered into by and between the Pitkin County Board
of County Commissioners ("County") and Wright Water Engineers, Inc. (hereinafter
"Contractor") as of this tlM-~ day of May, 2006.
RECITALS
A. The County and Contractor desire to make certain changes to the
schedule for performance of the tasks and delivery of the work product required under
the "Contract for Provision of Services" entered into between the parties on January 18,
2006 (the "Contract"); and
B. The County and Contractor further desire to extend the term of the
Contract to accommodate the new schedule.
NOW, THEREFORE, the County and Contractor mutually agree as follows:
1. Defined Terms. Unless otherwise specified, all capitalized terms shall
have the meanings specified in the Contract.
2. Term. Section 2 of the Contract is deleted in its entirety and the following
language is substituted in its place:
The term of this contract is from January 18, 2006 ("Effective Date") to February 23,
2007,

Statement of Work. The Contract's Statement of Work is modified as
a. Tasks. Subparagraphs E, F, G and H of Section II of the
Statement of Work are deleted in their entirety and the following new Subparagraphs E,
F, G and H are substituted in their place:
E. Further Research and Analvsis: Preparation and Delivery of Module 1 of the
Draft OMS Reaulations
Contractor will perform all additional research and analysis necessary to address the
issues identified in Attachment 1 (if and as reflected in the Final Outline), and any other
issues identified in the Final Outline.
Contractor will prepare and deliver to EH/NR staff a draft of Module 1 of the OWTS
Regulations by no later than May 19, 2006.

Module 1 of the draft OWTS Regulations will be reviewed by County staff and the
T AC, as well as posted on the EH/NR website for publiC review. EH/NR staff will address
questions to Contractor and discuss issues with Contractor following receipt of Module 1.
County staff will provide written comments on Module 1 to Contractor by no later than June
7, 2006. Contractor will then prepare a final draft of Module 1, incorporating these
comments, and deliver it to EH/NR staff by no later than June 14, 2006.
F. Preparation and Delivery of Module 2 of the Draft OMS Reaulations
Contractor will prepare and deliver to EH/NR staff a draft of Module 2 of the OWTS
Regulations by no later than June 21, 2006,
Module 2 of the draft OWTS Regul$tions will be reviewed by County staff and the
T AC, as well as posted on the EH/NR website for public review. EH/NR staff will address
questions to Contractor and discuss issues with Contractor following receipt of Module 2.
County staff will provide written comments on Module 2 to Contractor by no later than July
12, 2006, Contractor will then prepare a final draft of Module 2, incorporating these
comments, and deliver it to EH/NR staff by no later than July 19, 2006.
G. Preparation and Delivery of Modyle 3 of the Draft OMS Regulations
Contractor will prepare and deliver to EH/NR staff a draft of Module 3 of the OWTS
Regulations by no later than July 26, 2006,
Module 3 of the draft OWTS Regulations will be reviewed by County staff and the
T AC, as well as posted on the EH/NR website for public review, EH/NR staff will address
questions to Contractor and discuss issues with Contractor following receipt of Module 3.
County staff will provide written comments on Module 3 to Contractor by no later than
August 16, 2006. Contractor will then prepare a final draft of Module 3, incorporating these
comments, and deliver it to EH/NR staff as part of the Final Draft OWTS Regulations
described under subparagraph (H) below.
H. Preparation and Delivery of Final Draft of OMS Regulations
Contractor will prepare and deliver tQ EH/NR staff a final draft of the OWTS
Regulations ("Final Draft OWTS Regulations") by no later than August 30, 2006. The Final
Draft OWTS Regulations will accurately reflect the Final Outline, all comments on Modules
1, 2 and 3 conveyed to Contractor, and will otherwise meet the requirements for the new
OWTS Regulations specified in the Overview above.
The Final Draft OWTS Regulations will be reviewed by County staff and the TAC, as
well as posted on the EH/NR website for publiC review. EH/NR staff will address questions
to Contractor and discuss issues with Contractor following receipt of the Final Draft OWTS
Regulations. County staff will provide written comments on the Final Draft OWTS
Regulations to Contractor by no later than September 21, 2006. Contractor will revise the

Final Draft oms Regulations to reflect these comments and resubmit the Final Draft
oms Regulations to EH/NR staff by no later than September 28, 2006.
